Sunday School 9:15 - 10:15 a.m.
Immanuel offers Sunday School classes for all ages that are focused on learning and applying the Word of God in order to better know Christ and make Him known. We believe that the Bible is God's inspired revelation and is the final authority for the Christian in all matters of faith and practice. Thus we place a strong emphasis upon the teaching of His Word.
Sunday Morning Worship 10:30 - 11:45 a.m.
Our worship service includes a time of corporate praise and prayer that makes use of a blend of traditional and contemporary songs, as well as a time of expository Bible teaching. We believe that the Word of God is the means by which the Holy Spirit brings sinners to repentance, and the primary means through which He brings believers to Christian maturity. The Sunday morning worship service is a time set apart to have a corporate dialog with God, in which we yearn to hear Him speak to us through His word and to respond together to His voice in faith, hope, and love.
We observe the Lord's supper each month, usually on the first Sunday of the month. The Lord's Supper is another important means of grace, a 'visible word' through which Christ reminds us of His steadfast love which led Him to offer Himself as the sacrifice for our sins through death on the cross, and through which He, as risen Savior and Lord, continues to offer us His fellowship and forgiveness. It is a time for us to hear Him speak and to respond with renewed repentance and love for Him in our hearts. It is a time of celebration as we await His return, when we shall have unbroken fellowship with Him forever.
Sunday Evening Teaching 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
The emphasis upon hearing God through the teaching of His Word continues on Sunday evenings. However, the Sunday evening teaching time is very informal and welcomes questions and discussion. It is also a great time to come for fellowship, for there are usually a number of us who continue discussion and visiting until long after the teaching time has ended!
Wednesday Evening Youth Activities 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Children Desiring God -- This is a program that runs throughout the school year for children from kindergarten through the sixth grade. The children take part in a worship time, a time of Bible teaching and memorization, a time for activities or games, and a story time (in which they hear stories read that help to teach and reinforce Christ-like living. Children Desiring God is developed by .
Youth Group -- Junior High and High School age youth meet every Wednesday evening for a time of games/activities, followed by a time of Bible study. In addition, they meet one Sunday evening a month (after Sunday Evening Teaching) for a time of fun and fellowship.
